Uses one AA battery. Press and hold the switch to activate the heating element at the tip. You will the tip glowing when it is ready . Continuing to hold the button, briefly touch the tip to the place on the thread where you want to cut, melt, or burn it. Replace the clear cap over the tip when finished. Includes one changeable wire tip; an optional tips available.
