AJS Terms and conditions

The AJS Commitment to our Customers

AJS is committed to providing the highest standards of service as we bring you Australia's most comprehensive range of Jewellery Tools and Equipment from around the world. To ensure you always have a great experience with us, we have summarized key points of trading with AJS.

Purchasing from AJS

By creating an account , you will have full access to view our product range/ manage your details. You can login and keep a record of your purchases for re-ordering.  By signing up ,  you will automatically join our mailing list and receive our newsletter, special offers and invitations to our branch activities. Contact your local branch for more details or by emailing us at websales@ajsonline.com. You can check out with our many payment options such as Afterpay/ Paypal /Zip etc.

 

Fraudulent Transactions

We reserve the right to ask you for the following documentation prior to despatching your order, if your order is deemed as a potential fraudulent risk. 

AJS will notify you if your order has been flagged and the following documents must be presented prior to despatch. If you do not pass the required checks, AJS will organise a full refund for you, funds may take 5-10 business days to be received.

* Drivers license photo must be presented ( including front and back of the license)

* The shipping address must match the drivers license / your order must be shipped to the address as per your drivers license.

* Your name must match the driver license photo.

These checks are completed to ensure both parties are covered under fraud protection.

 

Trade Account Customers

This is a debtor account that will require a formal credit application to be lodged. Our terms are 30 days from invoice. To apply please click on the link here : Application for Trading Account .  If you wish to have your account linked to the web login, please contact us at Websales@ajsonline.com or your local branch.  You too will join our mailing list and receive news, offers and invitations to our branch events. Upon check out you will have the option to ‘charge to account’ once set up.

Placing an order

Returns & Exchange Policy:

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase and you wish to return it. Please lodge an application here : Returns.

Once approved , you may return it to AJS within 14 days of the original purchase date. Please note some items may incur a 20% restocking fee, you will be notified prior to approval.  

Upon return of your item a refund will be processed, please allow for 5-7 business days for funds to be recieved.

All refunds will be processed back onto your original payment method.

You may choose a refund, credit, or exchange if the item received:

  • Has been incorrectly supplied
  • Is faulty, unsafe, or damaged
  • Is significantly different from that advertised

For change of mind returns, please fill out a return form here within 14 days of the original purchase date. Your request will then be reviewed by our team who will notify you if approved.

Return Policy:

  • A  return form must be filled out prior to returning goods here.
  • Returns are allowed within 14 days of receiving your order once approved.
  • Items must be unused and in the original saleable condition/packaging .
  • We do not refund shipping charges, duties, and taxes on refunds for change of mind.
  • Precious metals and findings cannot be returned unless supplied incorrectly and only within 14 days of purchase.
  • We reserve the right to repair any product if the problem is minor within a reasonable time.
  • In all cases, proof of purchase must be provided.
  • The return policy applies to purchases made from the AJS website and at the branches.
  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs for change of mind.
  • SALE or CLEARANCE ITEMS: Please note we do not accept returns.
  • All items purchased at the branch must be authorized by your AJS Branch Manager before being sent back to the warehouse or branch.
  • We are not required to provide a refund for a change of mind. However, in certain cases, this will be considered if the item is returned undamaged and in the original packaging within 14 days of purchase.
  • For any change of mind returns, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 20%
  • Please note once your return is received, funds will take 5-7 business days to be processed.

Exchange Policy:

To avoid disappointment, if you need to exchange an item, we suggest you order online through our website and then return the original for a refund or credit (please refer to our return policy).

  • SALES and CLEARANCE ITEMS: Please note we do not generally accept returns for exchange. For all inquiries please email customerservice@ajsonline.com.
  • We are not required to exchange for a change of mind. However, in certain cases, this will be considered if the item is returned undamaged and in the original packaging within 14 days of purchase.

Faulty Product Policy

  • Please include the order number/ serial number/ issues with the item and, if possible, a photo of your damaged item.
  • Please note that we're unable to offer a repair, replacement, or refund for items if the warranty period has expired. Additional costs for repair may incur at your own expense.
  • Items that have been damaged due to normal wear and tear, by accident, or through misuse will not be considered faulty.

Financing

Through a third-party provider AJS can assist you with finance options for purchases over $5000.

Design and Manufacture

Descriptions and pictures resemble the actual product as closely as possible. However, as a result of continued efforts to improve and update our merchandise, changes are unavoidable so images and specifications will sometimes vary. We have made every effort to ensure that all information in the catalogue is accurate but errors can occur and it is important to properly research products before making a purchase.

Prices   

Prices are subject to change without notice and up to date prices (excl. GST) can be viewed on our website or requested through our branch network.

Shipments

In the absence of special instructions on how to ship we will use our experience and best judgement in forwarding orders. If you have special delivery requirements we will endeavour to comply. Hazardous material delivery is sometimes governed by government regulation and often may not be allowed to be shipped by air. We will do our very best to ship your order on the day the order is placed.

Hazardous Products

Our first choice will always be to source non-hazardous products but this is not always possible and there still are quite a few items that are considered hazardous. Products in this category must be treated with caution and only used according to direction and government regulation. All necessary health and safety precautions are the responsibility of users and AJS accepts no responsibility for improper handling.

Transaction Currency

We only accept payment in AUD.  All our transactions are processed and settled in AUD.
