Description
Learn the art of fine shading with Sam Alfano. Shading is one of the most challenging aspects of hand engraving. Even advanced engravers and ornamental artists struggle with creating subtle and beautifully shaded shapes. This video has six chapters that guide you through both the thought process as well as the mechanical process of cutting world-class shading. Also included is a practice design that is ready to print and transfer. Use the photo of the completed shading for reference, then pause the video and replicate the steps and shade the practice design. Once you learn the processes, you can adapt the techniques to your own designs later on.
